The YLD co-sponsors homeless legal clinics in Albuquerque, Las Cruces and Santa Fe. Volunteer attorneys staff the clinics and provide legal information and advice as well as refer clients to low income or pro bono legal service programs.

A cooperative effort of several non-profit New Mexico organizations including United South Broadway Corporation, New Mexico Legal Aid, Senior Citizens’ Law Office, DNA Peoples’ Legal Services, Independent Living Resource Center and others. The program provides direct foreclosure prevention services to New Mexico homeowners who are struggling with their mortgage or facing foreclosure. This website is also duplicated in its entirety in Spanish.

Does not represent individuals.Provides training for advocates and legal advocacy for groups of low-income New Mexicans by generating systemic solutions and addressing problems with Medicaid, Food Stamps, NM Works, General Assistance and other programs intended for low income people, through the use of class actions, distribution of“know-your-rights” pamphlets, and other means.

Provides free civil legal advice and referrals via telephone and fax only for low-income New Mexicans. Including but not limited to family law, landlord/tenant, public housing, public benefits, consumer law, child guardianship. Also hosts free workshops. Providing free legal services to low-income residents of Bernalillo County. Will provide services in the areas of child support, AFDC(only in domestic violence related cases), food stamps, Medicaid, state disability and SSI unemployment benefits, Section8 housing,landlord/tenant, uncontested divorces, and domestic matters where violence or custodial interference has occurred.Services not provided for criminal,DWI, personal injury, worker’s comp, foreclosures, or paternity.
