Pro Bono legal services are provided at the HealthCare for the Homeless location in downtown Albuquerque and Las Cruces, and Santa Fe. The Santa Fe location is at the St. Elizabeth Shelter, 804 Alarid St., which can be reached by calling (505) 982-6611, extension 108. The e-mail contact for each location is as follows:

Keep Your Home New Mexico
A cooperative effort of several non-profit New Mexico organizations including United South Broadway Corporation, New Mexico Legal Aid, Senior Citizens’ Law Office, DNA Peoples’ Legal Services, Independent Living Resource Center and others. The program provides direct foreclosure prevention services to New Mexico homeowners who are struggling with their mortgage or facing foreclosure. This website is also duplicated in its entirety in Spanish.
New Mexico Center on Law and Poverty
Does not represent individuals.Provides training for advocates and legal advocacy for groups of low-income New Mexicans by generating systemic solutions and addressing problems with Medicaid, Food Stamps, NM Works, General Assistance and other programs intended for low income people, through the use of class actions, distribution of“know-your-rights” pamphlets, and other means.
Law Access New Mexico
Provides free civil legal advice and referrals via telephone and fax only for low-income New Mexicans. Including but not limited to family law, landlord/tenant, public housing, public benefits, consumer law, child guardianship. Also hosts free workshops. They do not provide ongoing legal representation or go to court.Open 8:45-3:45 weekdays. Se habla español; translators available for other languages.
New Mexico Legal Aid
Providing free legal services to low-income residents of Bernalillo County. Will provide services in the areas of child support, AFDC(only in domestic violence related cases), food stamps, Medicaid, state disability and SSI unemployment benefits, Section8 housing,landlord/tenant, uncontested divorces, and domestic matters where violence or custodial interference has occurred.Services not provided for criminal,DWI, personal injury, worker’s comp, foreclosures, or paternity.
